The Cove Quilters

I can't resist gathering with quilters. There is just something special about the chat, the friendships, the food, the quilts. Three hours pass by so fast. Lots to share, quilts, ideas, recipes, patterns. Lots to laugh about. The Cove Quilters is my second "bee", we are all members of the Mahone Bay Quilters Guild.

Blessed are the Piecemakers

I’ve been a “bee” quilter for over 30 years. There’s been so much laughter, so many friends, and so many worthy projects. I can’t imagine it any other way. I am grateful to a group in Virgina that I visited in the late 1970’s who couldn’t imagine how a Guild could operate without bees, so I came home and started them for our Guild. All these years later most of the bees are still meeting.

We have lost a couple of our members and have gained a couple. We meet every Friday morning and just have the best time. We have been through a lot together, we are the best of friends! We are "The Piecemakers", Ruth, Ann, Eileen, Jamie, Lenore, Ruth, Laureen, Meredith, Jane and me.
